Future Skills for Digitized Workforce

Digital competencies are one of the most important future skills in the everchanging working world. With the project Future Skills for Digitized Workforce we have empowered vocational education students from Max-Born-Berufskolleg (Recklinghausen, Germany) and Görele 13 Subat Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi (Türkiye) with respective skills prepared them for the challenges and demands of the digital age. At the same time, participating teachers have improved and adapted their teaching methods with new modern techniques.
Project Phases
Labour market analysis
This activity analysed the labour market requirements for future professionals. With questions on future skills such as data analysis, cloud computing, artificial intelligence or agile teamwork, this survey helped to understand the requirements for future professionals of future employers.

Skills Assessment
In addition to the labour market analysis, prospective mechatronics and electrical engineers from the partner schools we have conducted a skill assessment for career-relevant future skills.
Afterwards, we have compared the results with the skills requirements of the companies to identify any skill gaps which were thought during a series of following workshops.

Virtual Trainings
A total of 4 virtual workshops were conducted to empower the vocational training students of Max Born Berufskolleg and Görele Meslek Lisesi with digital technologies and future skills.

Onsite Workshops
During the project we had 2 onsite workshops in Recklinghausen (Germany) and Görele (Türkiye) giving the students the opportunity to improve their digital skills and gain intercultural competencies as well as practical language competencies.
